Amy Smart is a former American actor and model. Born in California USA, Amy Smart began her modeling career there. Her acting career started in 1996, when she was a character in the TV film Her Costly Affair. After a difficult fight her way to a role, she got a chance in the 'Starship Troopers' series her role in Starship Troopers. Amy had a difficult time making the transition from modeling to acting because models aren't usually thought of as an actor of high quality. They're often given small roles that aren't important. Amy didn't give up, and ultimately she was offered bigger parts in the movies Varsity Blues and The 70s. Then she stepped into leading roles with the 2005s romantic comedy Just Friends which also starred Ryan Reynolds. Amy gained recognition after more than 10 years of trying. Amy was later a star in major films including the Crank Series with Jason Statham, and Shameless.
